Le programme de CARY au CES 2012
Venetian Towers Suite 29-112
Join Cary Audio in Las Vegas!
Cary Audio is entering its 23rd year producing
absolutely world-class music and home cinema systems. With countless awards and
rave reviews over the years, Cary Audio has achieved an enviable spot as one of
the truly elite manufacturers.
In January 2012, Cary Audio will have a broad presence
at both CES and T.H.E. Show in Las Vegas. At the Venetian, we will partner with
TAD speakers in our main demonstration suite (29-112), showing their CR-1
Compact Reference Monitor, one of the most acclaimed speakers available. We
will be demonstrating the speakers with our SLP-05 two-piece preamplifier (2010
Tube Preamplifier of the Year in “The Absolute Sound”), driving a pair of new
SA-500.1 solid-state monoblock power amplifiers. We will be listening to CDs,
SACDs, and hi-resolution files on our CD-303T CD/SACD/DAC. All of this
best-in-class equipment will be connected with MIT’s latest top of the line
Oracle XD cables and speaker wiring, and using MIT Z Powerbar power
conditioning.
A second system in the room will feature headphone
listening using AKG K702 Reference Headphones through a choice of our
CAD-300SEI single-ended triode tube integrated amplifier, our new HH-1 hybrid
tube headphone amplifier, or SH-1 solid-state headphone amplifier. The music
will be sourced from our MS-1 music server played through our Xciter DAC.
The new headphone amplifiers are the first products in
a new series of smaller electronics, yet still with the full range of Cary
Audio sound and quality. The two high performance headphone amplifiers are
being shown for the first time at the 2012 CES, one solid-state and one hybrid
tube/Mosfet. Both models are brand new designs featuring low output
impedance and high current capability, allowing them to drive the most
difficult headphones with ease.
Outside of Cary Audio’s own suite in the Venetian,
Waterfall Audio of France will also have two systems active in their
demonstration suite (30-316). Our SLP-03 preamplifier, SA-200.2 stereo power
amplifier, and CD-500 CD player will power the Waterfall Victoria EVO and
Iguascu EVO speakers. In the upper level of the suite, Cary Audio’s SLI-80 tube
integrated amplifier and a
CD-500 will run Waterfall’s Hurricane EVO + Sub 2.1
system.
Just down the hall (30-324), Adam Audio will be
showing the new passive version of their Column Mk3 speakers with our SLP-05
preamplifier, an SA-200.2 power amplifier, and a CD-500 player.
Over at the Flamingo Hotel, as part of the T.H.E.
Show, Cary Audio will also be well represented. We will have our own displays
in the Red Rock III ballroom, featuring a Cinema 12 theater processor and Model
7.250 7-channel amplifier in a large theater setting, with PBN Montana XPS
Signature fronts and an SPC2 center channel, SPi rears and M2 Monitor side
speakers, and a SSW subwoofer, an Epson 6010 projector and Screen Innovations
Black Diamond screen.
Also in the Red Rock III ballroom, we will have on
demonstration PBN Audio’s new ultra-high-efficiency monitor speakers with a
Cary Audio CAD-300SEI SET tube integrated amplifier and a CD-500 player.
In Red Rock II PBN Audio will offer their own high-end
electronics and speakers, driven by a CD-306 Professional CD/SACD/DAC.
Additionally, PBN Audio will showcase their
solid-state electronics in Red Rock I driving Quintessence Shadow 5 speakers,
and using a CD-303T CD/SACD/DAC from Cary Audio.
Elsewhere at the T.H.E. Show, Chapman Audio Systems
will have a large two-channel display in room 4073, using our SLP-05 tube
preamplifier, SA-500.1 solid-state monoblock amplifiers, and a CD-306 Professional
CD/SACD/DAC To drive the latest version of Chapman Audio’s T-8 speakers, again
using MIT’s best cables and power conditioning.
You can also find a CD-306 Professional being used in
room 4039 by Sonist Speakers, and probably elsewhere at the show as well.
PA System for the Noel Paul Stookey Concert
Cary Audio will be providing power amplifiers for this
intimate concert. A pair of CAD-211FE monoblock tube amplifiers will be used,
providing high power (up to 150 watts per channel) and very accurate and
lifelike sound quality. The amplifiers run in pure Class A all the way up to 70
watts, so for much of the program material the amplifiers will be in the most
linear mode possible, transitioning into Class AB as needed for extra power to
handle dynamic peaks. These amplifiers have received many accolades over the
years, with rave reviews and awards from the audiophile press. They will be
driven by the output from the concert mixing console, handling all the
microphones and instruments.
The Cary Audio amplifiers will be driving a pair of
newly designed speakers from PBN Audio. The PBN Audio’s DD12 features new
drivers designed by JBL’s Dean Rivera, and will combine to produce a system
with 100dB efficiency (at 2.83V/1M), and 400-watt power handling. They each
include two 12” paper cone woofers with neodymium magnets in a transmission
line tuned to 25 Hz. These woofers flank a JBL Pro 3” beryllium compression
driver mounted on a specially designed horn lens.
All of us at Cary Audio and PBN Audio are proud to present Noel Paul Stookey in concert during the T.H.E. Show in Las Vegas, and excited to provide this sound system which will combine the best of both audiophile sensibilities, and the uncompressed dynamics and power of the pro audio world.
Come see us at either show venue in Las Vegas. Cary
Audio is having an unprecedented large presence this year at CES and T.H.E.
Show, and we would love to meet with you and show you our latest products. Cary
