DALI is delighted to announce that our new EPICON 8 speaker has won the
prestigious EISA Award BEST PRODUCT 2012-2013 in the category High-End
Audio. This is a truly fantastic accolade for EPICON 8 as the EISA panel are
experienced and demanding judges who only acclaim exceptional products.
The EPICON 8 loudspeakers were years in development and represent the
culmination of DALI’s relentless quest to deliver music the way music is meant
to sound.
The EISA committee justify their decision with these words:”Danish loudspeaker

EPICON range is appropriately ‘epic’””Its sound is equally impressive, at once
bold and intimate, its broad soundstage peppered with musical detail, filling the

EISA
EISA stands for the European Imaging and Sound Association and is the
unique association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European
countries. Each year, in June, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member
magazines meet to decide which of the products reviewed in their publications
during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Award.
The competition for the award was fierce as EPICON 8 was up against some
of the best loudspeakers in Europe. In winning an EISA award the EPICON 8s
demonstrate what exceptional loudspeakers they are.
Engineering & Design
The EPICON 8 loudspeakers are the culmination of three decades of
experience. DALI has spent three years researching and developing a new
magnet motor technology, the Linear Drive Magnet system, to address the
four causes of distortion in the motor system, to ensure that the listener hears
exactly what is on the recording – nothing more, nothing less.
The speakers feature in-house made woofers and low-loss components
producing exceptional dynamics, precision and richness of detail. The break
through DALI hybrid tweeter was also developed in-house and the EPICON
8 speakers feature a larger chamber, improved damping and a new high
frequency wave-guide.
DALI’s designers have created a stunning form with a high-gloss cabinet finish
ensuring that the EPICON 8 will look amazing in any home. Rigid, curved and
dressed in high-grade real wood veneer, the multi-layered enclosure ensures
a superb acoustic environment. EPICON 8 is available in three luxury real
wood finishes : Walnut, Ruby Macassar and Black. Each speaker is individually
hand-built and matched as pairs by DALI’s craftsmen.
